No! You are welcome to attend with or without a partner. Many participants come on their own, and we encourage a welcoming, inclusive dance community where everyone has the opportunity to dance.

Absolutely! Prairie Skies Country Dance welcomes dancers of all experience levels.

Workshop descriptions include a recommended skill level to help you choose classes that are the best fit for you.

The event features a variety of country dance styles, which may include:

• Country Swing

• Line Dance

• Two Step

• West Coast Swing​

Please refer to the event schedule for the most up-to-date class offerings.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.

Many dancers choose western attire, but it is not required.

We recommend clean, comfortable dance shoes or boots with smooth soles that are appropriate for the dance floor.

To help protect the dance floor, please wear clean footwear. If your shoes have been worn outdoors, we recommend bringing a clean pair to change into before dancing.

There is no formal dress code.

Whether you prefer jeans and boots or western dress attire, wear something comfortable that makes you feel confident and ready to dance.

Please note that water will be provided throughout the event. Food will only be available during the evening show and the social dance. You're welcome to bring your own food. 

Yes. Alcoholic beverages may be available for purchase by attendees who are of legal drinking age (19+).

Please enjoy responsibly and always respect fellow dancers.

Yes. Parking is available at or near the venue.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Tickets are issued to the original purchaser and may not be transferred or resold.

If tickets remain available, door sales may be offered.

However, we strongly recommend purchasing your ticket in advance, as capacity is limited and some ticket types may sell out.

Yes!

In addition to workshops, there will be plenty of opportunities to social dance throughout the event.

Personal photos and videos for non-commercial use are welcome unless otherwise announced during a class or performance.

Professional photography and videography will also be taking place throughout the event.

By attending, you acknowledge that your image may appear in promotional materials. Please see our Participant Waiver for details.

We are committed to making Prairie Skies Country Dance as welcoming and accessible as possible. Unfortunately Workshop Room B is only accessible via stairs.

Participants must be 17 years of age or older to attend workshops and dance classes.

Attendees under the age of 17 are not permitted to participate in classes or workshops.

If you have questions about age requirements or other event activities, please contact us before purchasing your ticket.

Please note that food will be available for purchase at the evening show and social. However, we cannot guarantee that all dietary restrictions will be accommodated. We encourage attendees to plan accordingly and appreciate your understanding.
